He was admitted to practice in Kentucky in 1974 and in Indiana in 1981. In addition, he is qualified to conduct legal work in in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as U.S. Federal Court. His extensive experience as an attorney at law includes service in prosecution and law enforcement, acting as an attorney at the city, county, and state levels. He served with several law firms before starting his own private practice.

His varied experience includes time spent as a visiting instructor in law enforcement and fire protection, drug rehabilitation counseling, being a legislative assistant for U.S. Representative Ron Mazzoli, as well as community involvement as president of Rotary International, chairman of the Small Business Council, and president of the Clark County Bar Association.  Maurice A.
